Quality Over Quantity
We value quality over quantity, choosing a slower, more intentional approach to making.
At the heart of Jennifer Slattery’s work is a commitment to longevity. Each piece is designed with care, where the quality of the materials and the integrity of the construction are just as important as the final form. Nothing is rushed or incidental; every detail is considered with intention.

At Jennifer Slattery, we’re always drawn to materials with meaning. Irish linen and Donegal tweed feel like a natural starting point for everything we create - both rooted in Ireland’s textile heritage and loved for their honesty, quality, and timeless character.
Irish linen is one of Ireland's most treasured textiles, celebrated worldwide for its exceptional quality, durability, and understated elegance. Woven from natural flax fibres, it has been crafted in Ireland for centuries and remains synonymous with fine craftsmanship and timeless design.
Valued for its strength, breathability, and distinctive texture, Irish linen becomes softer and more beautiful with age. Its natural character and enduring quality make it a fabric designed to be lived with and enjoyed for generations. At Jennifer Slattery, we choose Irish linen for its authenticity, versatility, and deep connection to Ireland's textile heritage.
All of our Irish linen pieces can be machine washed - just use a gentle cycle at no more than 30°C. Linen responds well to ironing and can be pressed at a high temperature to keep it looking crisp and fresh.
Donegal tweed is an iconic Irish fabric, renowned for its rich texture, warmth, and unmistakable character. Inspired by the rugged landscapes of Ireland's northwest coast, it is distinguished by colourful flecks woven throughout the cloth, reflecting the tones of the surrounding countryside.
Crafted using traditional weaving techniques passed down through generations, Donegal tweed represents the very best of Irish textile craftsmanship. Durable, timeless, and full of personality, it brings depth and heritage to every piece. We are proud to work with this exceptional fabric, honouring a craft tradition that remains an important part of Ireland's cultural identity.
The focus is on timeless design rather than trends. These are pieces made to feel relevant year after year, becoming part of a lasting wardrobe or home rather than something seasonal or short-lived. Simplicity, proportion, and function guide the design process, allowing the materials to speak for themselves.
We keep and use fabric cut-offs wherever possible, turning smaller pieces of linen into useful items rather than allowing them to go to waste. This approach naturally shapes some of our smaller products and limited pieces, helping us make the most of the materials already in our studio.
Design principles
We value quality over quantity, choosing a slower, more intentional approach to making.
Rather than following trends, we focus on creating pieces that remain relevant and wearable for years to come.
Pieces are designed to be mixed, matched, and lived with easily.
By working in small batches and avoiding overproduction, we respect both our materials and the people involved in making them.
